Dragons Den Panelist

As a Dragon’s Den panelist, you’ll join us at an exciting time in the programme, where student teams present their projects and ideas. You’ll listen to their pitches, ask thoughtful questions, and offer constructive feedback to help them strengthen their impact and celebrate their achievements.

Is this the right role for you?

Our Dragons Den Panelists.....

Are usually professionals with experience in sustainability, innovation, education, business, design or community projects

Are people who can offer positive, constructive feedback and encouragement

Are confident communicators who enjoy engaging with young people

Are passionate about climate action supporting youth-led action and social change

Time Commitment

Duration: 1–2 hours (in person or virtual, depending on the school and event format)
​Dates: From February - June 2026
Location: In-person or virtually at schools across London & South East, Yorkshire, North West and North East England.

Being part of the Dragon’s Den was such an inspiring experience. The ideas the young people came up with were so creative and full of purpose. It felt great to be able to offer feedback and encouragement, and to see how confidently they presented their solutions by the end. What is a dragons den panelist?

As a Dragon’s Den Panelist, you’ll get a front-row seat to the big ideas young people are dreaming up, from tackling fast fashion to rethinking energy use in schools. You'll hear a wide array of pitches and offer generous feedback to the young people you meet.

Who are we looking for?

This role is ideal if you enjoy hearing bold new ideas and offering constructive feedback to help them grow. You’ll bring curiosity, an open mind, and experience in areas like sustainability, innovation, business or community projects. Being supportive, fair, and encouraging is key, it’s all about helping young people feel confident in pitching their ideas and recognising the potential in their projects. You’ll also be a positive role model, showing that collaboration and creativity can drive real change.

What you’ll be doing: ​

  • Join a Dragon’s Den-style judging session (in-person or virtual) with student teams

  • Listen to project pitches and ask engaging, supportive questions

  • Offer practical feedback to help students refine and grow their ideas

  • Celebrate the creativity, teamwork, and innovation of every young person

  • Share insights from your professional experience to inspire and motivate young people

  • Sessions are coordinated by the YGBC Project Team and take place during school hours.

Time Commitment:

  • 1–2 hours (in person or virtual, depending on the school and event format)

  • One-off session, scheduled around your availability
