CLIMATE JUSTICE
GenEarth has partnered with the UK Youth Climate Coalition (UKYCC) to deliver Climate Justice workshop to young people.

This workshop has been designed by young people, is delivered by young people, for young people. A programme that grounds itself in being youth-led and centres a climate justice lens within environmental education
About UKYCC
The UK Youth Climate Coalition (UKYCC) is a UK youth group that mobilises and empowers young people to take positive action for global climate justice. UKYCC is a voluntary, consensus-led, non-hierarchy, and non-profit organisation. Their members are based UK-wide, and share the common goal to achieve genuine global climate justice. They are a group of 18-29 year old's who volunteer and collaborate to work towards creating a just, sustainable world in which current and future generations enjoy and protect a healthy environment.
Climate Justice Workshops
The Climate Justice workshops nurture an understanding of how to bring about climate justice, how to cope with eco-anxiety, and how to create grassroots change in their communities through a local campaign. In our Pilot year (2022-2023) we delivered the Climate Justice workshop to over 300 young people, in four London-based schools. Over the previous school year (2023-2024) we have delivered the Climate Justice workshop to over 750 young people.
GenEarth's volunteers are enthusiastic about engaging young people in conversations about climate justice during these workshops. Volunteers, Sarah and Chloe, have shared blogs about their experience as workshop facilitators on this programme.
