Climate and Biodiversity
We are offering FREE interactive KS3 workshops, led by our passionate volunteers.
Climate Justice workshop
Designed by UKYCC, this workshop is perfect for schools and youth groups that want to help empower and support more young people to take action on climate change! Help students to understand how to bring about climate justice, how to make space for emotions around eco-anxiety and how to create change in their own communities.
Great Debate workshop
Designed by Born Free, this workshop provides the opportunity for young people to delve deeper into the issues surrounding climate change and biodiversity. Working in small groups, students will decide whether humanity needs to harness the power of nature in order to mitigate against, or even adapt to, to climate change.

Wildlife Conservation
We are delivering an exciting range of KS1 and KS2 curriculum aligned FREE workshops, designed by international wildlife charity Born Free Foundation.
King of the Jungle
(KS2)
In this workshop young people learn all about the world’s most iconic big cat - the lion. Through quizzes and interactive activities, they learn about the lion’s natural savannah habitat, their adaptations, what they eat, along with a whole host of other amazing lion facts. Students will also learn about the many threats lions face in the wild.​​
Threats Facing Wildlife
(KS1 & KS2)
We introduce students to four key species that Born Free cares for, elephants, tigers, orca and hedgehogs. Pupils will learn interesting facts about each species and learn about the threats they face. They will also learn how they can each make small changes in their daily lives to help protect wildlife.​

Should Animals Have The Same Rights As Humans? (KS2)
This workshop reveals amazing facts about elephants in the wild and encourages pupils to think about the feelings of animals in zoos. Pupils work in small groups to represent the stakeholders involved in bringing an elephant from Africa to a zoo in the UK, and are encouraged to consider, discuss and debate animal rights.​​

Precious Primates
and Rainforests (KS2)
Help students to discover more about tropical rainforests, their geographic distribution, make-up and importance, as well as introducing them to some of the amazing primates found there. Pupils will develop short speeches highlighting why the rainforest is important to them, and how we can all protect primates.​
